1. About this site

This website (https://baha-abdelatif.fr) is the personal portfolio of Abdelatif Baha, operating as AB.Dev.Web. It is a static, informational website with no user accounts, no e-commerce, and no paid services offered directly through this page.

2. Intellectual Property

All content on this site - including text, code samples, project screenshots, graphics, and the overall design - is the property of Abdelatif Baha unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content commercially without prior written permission.

Third-party logos (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, frameworks, etc.) remain the property of their respective owners and are used here for descriptive purposes only.

3. Contact form & data

When you submit the contact form, the following data is collected: your name, email address, optional phone number, and message. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is never sold or shared with third parties.

Data is retained only as long as necessary to handle your request, then permanently deleted.

4. Analytics & performance tracking (Microsoft Clarity)

This site uses Microsoft Clarity, a behavioural analytics service provided by Microsoft Corporation (One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, USA). Clarity helps understand how visitors interact with the site by collecting usage and performance data.

4.1 What is collected

Microsoft Clarity collects the following categories of data on your behalf:

  • Session recordings - a replay of your mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and page navigation during a visit.
  • Heatmaps - aggregated click, scroll, and movement data across all visitors.
  • Interaction events - rage clicks, dead clicks, JavaScript errors, and performance timing metrics.
  • Device & browser data - browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, and device category (desktop / tablet / mobile).
  • Session metadata - entry and exit pages, referrer URL, pages visited, and time spent on site.
  • Approximate geolocation - country and region derived from your anonymised IP address. The full IP address is never stored.
  • Pseudonymous identifiers - a unique user ID and session ID stored in first-party cookies (_clck, _clsk) and a cross-site Microsoft identifier (MUID, CLID). These do not contain your name or email address, but are considered personal data under the GDPR.

4.2 What is NOT collected

Clarity applies content masking by default (Balanced mode). Input boxes, password fields, and dropdown menus are always masked regardless of settings - their actual content is never transmitted. Numbers and letter sequences are replaced with placeholder characters client-side before any data leaves your browser.

4.3 Cookies set by Microsoft Clarity

Cookie Type Purpose
_clck First-party Stores a pseudonymous user ID for this site; persists for 1 year.
_clsk First-party Connects multiple page views into a single session recording; expires at end of session (1 day max).
CLID Third-party (Microsoft) Identifies a browser on its first visit across any Clarity-instrumented site; expires in 1 year.
MUID Third-party (Microsoft) Microsoft-wide browser identifier, shared across Microsoft services and used for analytics and advertising; expires in 1 year.
ANONCHK Third-party (Microsoft) Checks that the MUID identifier is not linked to advertising (always set to 0); expires in 10 minutes.
MR Third-party (Microsoft) Flag indicating whether to refresh the MUID cookie; expires in 7 days.
SM Third-party (Microsoft) Synchronises MUID across Microsoft domains; session cookie.

4.4 Data retention

  • Session recordings - retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted.
  • Aggregated data (heatmaps, click data, labelled sessions) - retained for 13 months, then permanently deleted.

4.5 Data storage & transfers

Data is stored on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in the United States. For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, data is transferred to the US on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) concluded between Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited and Microsoft Corporation.

4.6 Microsoft's independent use of data

Under Microsoft Clarity's Terms of Service (Section 4.4(c)(iii)), Microsoft may use the collected data - including behavioural profiles - for its own purposes, which may include advertising and user profiling. Microsoft acts as an independent data controller for this purpose, separate from AB.Dev.Web's use. Please refer to Microsoft's Privacy Statement for full details.

4.7 Legal basis

The legal basis for processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). For visitors outside the EEA, consent is still requested as a matter of best practice. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7).

4.8 External CDN requests

Beyond Clarity, this site makes no requests to external font or icon CDNs. All fonts are self-hosted (WOFF2) and all icons are inlined as SVG directly in the HTML. No third-party CDN (Google Fonts, Font Awesome, etc.) is contacted during a normal page visit.

5. External links

Project cards and social icons may link to external websites (GitHub, LinkedIn, live demos, etc.). AB.Dev.Web is not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of those external sites.

6. Disclaimer

This portfolio is provided "as is" for informational purposes. While every effort is made to keep the content accurate and up to date, AB.Dev.Web makes no warranties regarding completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Your rights (GDPR & privacy)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the GDPR (or equivalent national law):

  • Right of access - obtain confirmation of whether personal data about you is being processed and receive a copy.
  • Right to rectification - request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to erasure - request deletion of your personal data. Note: because Microsoft Clarity stores data at the project level, individual session data cannot be deleted in isolation; we can action such requests by deleting the relevant Clarity project.
  • Right to restrict processing - request that processing be limited in certain circumstances.
  • Right to object - object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent - withdraw your analytics consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You may do so by clearing your cookies and opting out via the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info (select Microsoft).
  • Right to lodge a complaint - file a complaint with your national data protection authority.

To exercise your rights regarding data collected via the contact form, or to submit a data subject request, contact: contact@abdevweb.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes to this policy

This page may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
